Project Manager

SNR Construction is a wholly owned division of Shindico Realty, one of Manitoba’s most active real estate development and management firms. We have a strong pipeline of approved and funded projects across multifamily, retail, and industrial sectors – ranging from façade upgrades to large-scale non-combustible multi-unit developments. Project values up to $100 million.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has 5 – 7 years of progressive experience managing commercial and multifamily projects, is comfortable leading renovation work, and has the drive to help scale a growing company. This role also offers exposure to real estate development through our close partnership with Shindico.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, entrepreneurial team player who wants to grow within a high-performance construction company. They’ll have a chance to influence internal systems, help shape future hires and gain meaningful exposure to the development process. This is a long-term opportunity to be part of building something bigger.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading construction projects from pre-construction through to turnover;
• Managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality across multiple project types;
• Overseeing subtrades, consultants, site teams, and internal resources to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery;
• Preparing, issuing, and managing contracts, change orders, and purchase orders;
• Coordinating project documentation including RFIs, shop drawings, site instructions, and progress reports;
• Assisting with tendering, value engineering, and trade selection;
• Leading or supporting smaller projects such as tenant improvements or envelope upgrades;
• Supporting company-wide development of systems, procedures, and safety practices;
• Collaborating with development, leasing, and property management teams when needed;
• Providing mentorship to junior team members.

Your qualifications should include:

• 5 – 7 years of experience in project management with a general contractor, including experience on multifamily projects;
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, permitting, safety (Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health), and trade sequencing;
• Degree or diploma in a construction-related field such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture;
• Knowledge of PMBOK principles with displayed experience of real world application;
• Designations such as P.Eng., CET, PMP, or Gold Seal are considered strong assets;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Yardi Construction Management, and Autodesk Construction Cloud;.
• Familiarity with construction management platforms and Common Data Environmental (Procore, Buildertrend, or MS Project);
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills;
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
